Sensei Raphael Veras
Sensei Raphael Veras is the Founder, Head Instructor and Coach of Veras Academy. He is a former fierce competitor who fought his way to winning various medals during his competitive career. He was awarded his 5th Dan in December 2019 for his hard work, dedication and commitment to karate, and the progress of his students and athletes. Under Sensei Raphael’s watchful eye and with his expert guidance, Veras Academy has seen its athletes bring home numerous National and International titles. He is currently the National Head Kumite Coach for the Luxembourg National karate team.
Sensei Luan Veras
Sensei Luan is the eldest of the Veras Bros, and one of the club’s most decorated athletes. He is a former European Championships GOLD medalist. Sensei Luan achieved his 1st DAN in 2019 and has been helping guide the students of Veras Academy since, using his incredible knowledge of karate and other martial arts.
Sensei Marco Correia
Sensei Marco Correia is a 1st Dan instructor for Veras Academy, who has also represented the club at National competitions. Sensei Marco has a wealth of martial arts knowledge which he passionately shares with the students and competitors of Veras Academy.
Sensei Annie Finnigan
Sensei Annie has over 30 years of karate experience and is a 4th DAN black belt. She has competed in numerous National competitons up and down the country and is a proud karate-ka who enjoys sharing her vast knowledge with the students.
