COUPE DE KAYL, LUXEMBOURG – OCTOBER 2021

Congratulations to the Veras Academy squad who travelled to Luxembourg on October 16th and 17th for the Coupe De Kayl, for the first international competition post-Covid. Although we went with a small squad, each competitor made sure to demonstrate a true #verasacademy fighting spirit. Well done to Martin Olivas Dates for securing a bronze in U9 Kata, Sensei Donna for her hard-earned bronze in senior Kata and Lucienne Brown for fighting her way to a bronze in U18 Open Weight Kumite. We all need to walk away knowing there are lots of lessons to be learned and hard work to come! Sensei Raphael said “although I couldn’t be there to watch my team compete in Luxembourg, I know that they each went there to show everyone the true VA spirit and that they would’ve performed to their best abilities. Each squad member should hold their head up high knowing I am incredibly proud of them”
