Veras Academy had a spectacular return to the competition circuit since the start of the Covid pandemic. After a nearly two year break, all competing athletes – old and new, represented the club with pride at the Central England Championships 2021 on October 10th. Harry Elves took gold for Para Kata. Sensei Donna took bronze in individual Kata and gold in individual Kumite. Sensei Annie bagged a double bronze for her retrospective categories in Kumite and Kata. Maggie Gentili-Walsh saw herself compete in five separate categories and landed a double bronze in Kata and Kumite! “I couldn’t be prouder of my team and the coaches for all of their hard work. It’s been a tough two years, but as always Veras Academy stood strong! Sensei Donna, Sensei Marco and Sensei Annie did a great job at coaching the VA squad” said Sensei Raphael
