On Sunday 13th December, Veras Academy held it’s black belt DAN grading. The gruelling 3-hour grading exam took place at our Haringey dojo and saw 9 participants attempt to gain their 1st DAN and 2nd DAN. While the standards were high, lots of lessons were learned by our students and this is something that they must all use to make themselves stronger karate-ka for the future. Congratulations to Sensei Donna Blake and Sensei Dawn Kavanagh for achieving your 2nd DAN, and also congratulations to Sensei Linas Staponas for your 1st DAN. Remember, your journeys have only just begun – your final destination is your choice to make.
